What happened to small phones?

As many of you know, the smaller phones have disappeared, and the larger ones have come back. Was that the end of an era to cell phones? The truth is: it hasn’t happened yet, but its coming. Radically. The truth is, there are still some “small” phones, including the HTC Aria, and free features phones such as the LG Rumor Touch or a free flip-phone. But, as every day passes, more and more flip phones and feature phones are being taken off of carriers’ websites, and being replaced with (larger) smart phones, such as the Droid X, HTC Evo, and the Dell Streak (yes, that’s the actual name of Dell’s new 5” phone). Barnes & Noble Goes Up for Sale Due to heavy Income Loss- Are Physical Books Going Extinct?

I knew this sad, sad day would come. Barnes & Noble has announced they are putting the giant retail chain up for sale after heavy loss of income and their stocks plummeting. They frankly lost too much money to the e-book market, the Amazon Kindle, and the iPad. But even after selling e-books and their very own E-reader, the Nook, Barnes and Noble wasn’t a technology kind of retail chain. They were all about the actual store that you can go in to finish your summer reading while sipping a cup of coffee. Continue Reading...

Is the Apple Magic Trackpad a Whole New Era to Desktop Navigation?

Is the Apple Magic Trackpad a whole new era to desktop navigation? For the most part: no. Track pads are made specifically for mobile computers, such as laptops and net books. Now you may be saying, “But the Magic Trackpad is bigger than the average size Trackpad.” My answer will be, “Yes, but it’s still a Trackpad”. The truth is, this Trackpad by itself is just a copy. Now you may be thinking, “Who did they copy?” They made the exact same thing as the Wacom Bamboo Touchpad, but instead of glossy and matte black finish, they make it the usual colors: gray and white. China has passed the United States as the world’s largest producer of greenhouse gases and energy consumer in the world, but that’s not stopping them from creating new and efficient ways to eliminate congestion. In an effort to cut the amount of pollution without widening the roads, the Shenzhen Huashi Future Parking Equipment Company is developing a 3D Express Coach (also known as a three-dimensional “fast bus”). There ya’ go. Read More -->

Amazon Kindle 3 Sold Out Online, Book Readers Everywhere Throw Fits

As shown by the screenshot above, the new Amazon Kindle 3 is now sold out, due to either high demand or not enough in stock. The website is telling you to go ahead and place an order to stay in line, or you can wait and have an impatience tantrum while reading on your old, outdated, second-generation Kindle.

Android 2.2 Firmware Update for the HTC Evo Delayed Until August 3rd

Well, well, my expectations were true. The Android 2.2 update for the HTC Evo was available on HTC’s website for a short number of hours, allowing you to transfer the update to your phone manually from transferring the file to your phone via USB sync cable. The set date for all Evo owners to get Android 2.2 has been moved to August 3rd, so when that day comes, expect to get a notification on your phone notifying you that an update to the firmware is available.    Review of the Apple iPad 64GB Wifi only

The iPad was first shown to the public in the iPad keynote hosted, by Apple's CEO Steve Jobs on January 27, 2010, but rumors were circulating long before that. Sadly, a lot of people were disappointed with the iPad, because it has a modified iPod Touch operating system, and most thought they would the same software as on their Macintosh computers, Snow Leopard. But there was still enough hype over Apple's latest product that lines stretched several blocks in New York and San Francisco, and iPads were sold out almost everywhere, 300,000 were sold on the first day...

Review of the Incase Convertible Book Jacket for the iPad

Review of the Incase Convertible Book Jacket for the iPad

The Incase convertible Book Jacket would probably be the best case you could buy for the iPad. The design of this case is a type of fake leather, and the inside (where the iPad goes) is made of a microfiber material to protect your iPad from scratches. That’s a good thing. On the back of the front flap of the book jacket, there are 3 ridges, which are for standing the iPad, whether it’s to watch movies, edit something, play a game, read an ebook, or anything else you can do with it while it’s in standing mode. Unfortunately, it increases the thickness of your once half inch to about 1 and one half inch, and your iPad tends to slip out a little... Read More --->

Quite a few people are in the market for a new laptop, whether it be they ran out of room on the hard drive, their previous laptop crashed or freezes up a lot, because of the new processors by Intel, the I series, or because of the release of Windows 7. But if you’re having trouble picking out a computer or in the market for one, here’s an article on how to buy one. If you’re thinking between buying a laptop or desktop, ask yourself this: Will I need my files to be accessible at all times, or can I just have my computer stationary at one location? Review of the Logitech Performance Mouse MX

The Logitech Performance Mouse MX is an ergonomic mouse that consists of 8 buttons, all of which are fully customizable. One of the buttons is not visible, which is right underneath where your thumb will be, this one is already preset to the “change window screen" the version that Apple puts on their Macintosh computers, but I think if you use this mouse with Windows software you should set the button to Flip 3D, which to me seems much, much, cooler than what Apple puts on theirs, but that’s just me... Review of the Sony MDR-NC7

The design of Sony’s noise canceling headphones is great! I find myself using them every day, whether it is watching a You Tube videos, listening to music, or just wearing them to block out sound from the background so I can concentrate on my work. These headphones are available at Sam’s Club for around $35, but expect to fork out an extra 3 dollars or so for... Read More..
