The Android 2.2 update for the HTC Evo was available on HTC’s website for a short number of hours, allowing you to transfer the update to your phone manually from transferring the file to your phone via USB sync cable. The set date for all Evo owners to get Android 2.2 has been moved to August 3^rd, so when that day comes, expect to get a notification on your phone notifying you that an update to the firmware is available for over-the-air download.
