This time Sprint and HTC have stuck to their word- the Android 2.2 update (Froyo) is available for over-the-air download to your very large (in screen size), HTC Evo. New features include crisper text, better management for conserving RAM (applications don’t use up as much RAM as on Android 2.1), new applications (such as App Sharing, Flashlight, News and Weather, and more!), some new widgets, and better categorized preferences in Settings. If you have not received a notification on your phone yet, you can check for this new update simply by going into Settings, touching System Updates, selecting HTC Software Updates, and select “Check now”. There ya’ go. -Sam Cypert, TeknoLogic
